Mobile Home Parks

Malibu has two mobile home parks, one on Point Dume known as the Point Dume Club and the other known as Paradise Cove. The mobile homes often look anything but mobile so if you are picturing something on wheels you may be surprised to see that most of these places look like regular built homes. You might be surprised to find out that multiple mobile homes that are worth $2m or more. One recently sold for $2.4m (article here)because they sit on the edge of a bluff with 180 degree views of the ocean. Both are close enough to the beach that you can just walk down to the sand via a trail, path, or road. The best mobile home park to live in if you surf or like to talk long walks on private beaches would be Paradise Cove. Here you can get an off-road golf cart, load the surfboards on top, and drive down a dirt road just a few feet from the sand.
Prices start around $300,000 and go to $2.5m. A nicely remodeled place will run $400-$600k or more depending on views.
